How lovely is your dwelling
place,
O LORD of hosts!
My soul longs, indeed it faints for the
courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the
living God.

NRSV) |

After nearly a year in the building
the new addition was ready. Parishioners and friends gathered
outside the new front doors. The Bishop banged his crosier upon
the doors saying, "Let the doors be opened."
|

The procession then entered the
new addition to the wonderful music of the Eastside Brass Quintet |
|

There was much prayer and song as every
part of the new Sanctuary was consecrated by Bishop McKelvey.
The first praises to God were sung by the Junior, Teen, and Adult
Choirs. The Chime Choir played as the Altar was vested and the
candles lit for the first time. The mighty sounds of the new
organ filled the Sanctuary too.
|

We all sang, prayed, sought
God's continued guidance and blessing, and shared in the first
Holy Eucharist in this place.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
ALLELUIA!

The next day the Altar had
already been set up for our first regular service. |

The Chime Choir was, and will
be, able to play without taking up two rows of pews. |
